More snowboarding, Finding some p0wder!?

Hit up Mount Norquay again today.
More park practice. While sitting on the lift i was admiring this bit of the slope that looked very powdery and a couple of tracks in it. This was just a gully next to the black and double black diamond runs and over a line of trees.

So i ventured up the american chair which leads to numerous black and double blacks (and nothing else) Get off at the top, strap my board on and head over towards the tree line..
"Caution avalanch area" signs present,Oh well, looks safe and there are other tracks, fairly low risk area.

Off Piste
Greeted with about 30-40cm of nice soft powder!
You cant really tell but this is about a 60 degree slope going down to the gully, that was fun :P

Beautiful deep powder!!!

At the bottom of that slope was the gully that i could see from the chair lift, and it was just awesome! First time riding in deep powder so had a few stacks learning how to turn in powder, but the tumbles just left me covered in snow.
It was awesome!

The bottom of the gully comes out at the top of another run. On one of my runs down i met 2 snowboarders at the bottom of the powder section who were curious what it was like.

I ended up taking them up the top and showing them how to get there. they loved it!

What an awesome day!

Today was the warmest day i have had since being here. It got to about 9degrees! I hope that means snow tonight!
